Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an Operations Support and Service Supervisor to oversee and support warehouse operations under the HMPPS contract. The role involves staff coverage, onboarding support, and contributing to project delivery while traveling across sites in the North of England.

A company vehicle may be provided after qualifying period. The role requires strong communication, team leadership, and reliable IT skills, with a willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team and coordinating logistics operations.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient IT skills, including MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across warehouses and service locations by covering staff absences, filling gaps, and delivering training.
• Assist Warehouse Managers with onboarding, staff development, and recruitment.
• Support regional leadership with canteen-related issues and project delivery/continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and assist in implementing operational strategies.
• Complete relevant DHL operational documents accurately and timely, including change requests.
• Report delivery queries to Warehouse Manager/Supervisors/Transport Team.
• Comply with Prison Service regulations and security requirements.
