Job summary

A national plant hire business is seeking a Group Workshop Manager to lead workshop performance across their depot network. This senior leadership role involves overseeing fleet reliability, maintenance strategies, and compliance across multiple sites. Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within plant hire or heavy equipment operations.
• Experience managing multiple workshops and dispersed engineering teams.
• Strong technical understanding of heavy plant and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshop operations across the depot network through Workshop Supervisors.
• Own fleet availability, utilisation, compliance and cost control KPIs.
• Set and standardise maintenance frameworks and operational processes.

Skills

Senior leadership experience within plant hire or heavy equipment operations

Ability to manage multiple workshops and engineering teams

Strong technical understanding of heavy plant and fleet maintenance

Proven track record of improving fleet performance

Commercial awareness

Strong working knowledge of H&S and compliance standards

Full UK Driving Licence

IOSH or NEBOSH certification

Experience with Syrinx
