Job summary

Eurovia Surfacing is seeking an experienced Fleet & Plant Manager to own the nationwide fleet, plant and transport operations. You will ensure assets are available, compliant and optimised to support highways and infrastructure projects.

Lead operational teams, manage budgets, and drive performance with telematics data while upholding HSEQ standards and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways, infrastructure or civil engineering sectors.
• Proven track record managing large and diverse fleets.
• Knowledge of telematics and fleet management systems.
• Significant experience overseeing fleets, plant assets and transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, maintenance planning and workshop operations.
• Experience with budget management, cost control and supplier management.
• Demonstrated leadership of operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all fleet, plant and transport operations nationwide.
• Manage vehicle and plant asset lifecycles, maintenance and replacement plans.
• Ensure compliance with operator licences, inspections and transport laws.
• Drive fleet utilisation, efficiency and cost optimisation.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and cost-saving opportunities.
• Supervise suppliers, contractors and service agreements.
• Promote health, safety and compliance culture across operations.
• Develop teams and drive performance using fleet data and telematics.
• Support business transformation and change programmes.
