Job summary

FM Conway is seeking a seasoned Business Unit Fleet & Plant Manager to lead our fleet, plant, transport, and logistics operations from our Sevenoaks base. This key leadership role sits in the Senior Management Team, shaping safe, efficient, and well-supported operations across FM Conway.

You will develop teams, collaborate across functions, and bring new ideas to continuously improve asset management, compliance, and service delivery in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet, plant, transport or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation.
• CPC for Transport Managers and UK driving licence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet, plant, transport and logistics operations ensuring safe, efficient service.
• Ensure compliance with Operator Licence, DVSA, FORS, Drivers' Hours, MOT, LOLER and PUWER.
• Oversee driver, vehicle and plant compliance including inspections, maintenance, licensing and tachograph requirements.
• Monitor OCRS, audits and compliance, driving improvements across teams.
• Manage fleet/plant availability, maintenance planning and asset utilisation.
• Lead procurement, lifecycle planning, replacements and disposals.
• Manage budgets, CapEx, forecasts and supplier relationships.
• Represent FM Conway in industry groups and forums.
