Job summary

Benjamin-Grace Limited is recruiting an experienced Fleet Manager to take full ownership of the company fleet, driving efficiency and cost savings across the business. You will oversee vehicle procurement, supplier management, fuel cards, compliance, maintenance and driver administration.

This role focuses on sourcing, leasing, servicing, and maintaining records while building strong supplier relationships and delivering measurable improvements in cost and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day management and development of the company fleet.
• Manage sourcing, leasing and purchasing of vehicles and related services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts for best value.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
• Manage fuel card systems and monitor vehicle usage.
• Oversee MOTs, servicing and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain fleet, insurance and vehicle records.
• Manage vehicle damage, incidents and repair processes.
• Process driver fines and contraventions.
• Conduct regular driving licence checks and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with HR to maintain the company driver list.
• Produce regular fleet reports and management information.
• Monitor supplier performance and pursue improvements.
• Ensure fleet processes meet compliance and audit requirements.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fleet Manager to join an established and growing organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take full ownership of a fleet function, driving efficiency, improving processes and delivering real cost savings across the business.

You'll be responsible for the effective management of the company fleet, including vehicle procurement and leasing, supplier management, fuel cards, compliance, maintenance and driver administration.

The Role

• Take ownership of the day-to-day management and development of the company fleet.
• Manage the sourcing, leasing and purchasing of vehicles and associated services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to achieve the best value for the business.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and improved efficiency.
• Manage fuel card systems and monitor vehicle usage.
• Oversee MOTs, servicing and vehicle maintenance.
• Maintain accurate fleet, insurance and vehicle records.
• Manage vehicle damage, incidents and repair processes.
• Process driver fines and contraventions.
• Carry out regular driving licence checks and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with HR to maintain the company driver list.
• Produce regular fleet reports and management information.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all fleet processes meet relevant compliance and audit requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Fleet Manager or Fleet professional with a strong understanding of commercial vehicle operations.

You should have experience in areas such as:

• Fleet management
• Vehicle procurement and leasing
• Supplier management and negotiation
• Fleet compliance
• MOT and vehicle servicing
• Fuel cards
• Driver licence checks
• Vehicle damage and insurance claims
• Fleet reporting and data analysis
• Cost reduction and continuous improvement

Experience working within rail, construction, civils, utilities, logistics, transport, engineering or another operational environment would be highly advantageous.

We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
