National Field Service Engineer – Packaging Machinery

Job summary

Brazen Search is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for an established engineering business with nationwide UK travel. The role involves installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist packaging machinery across customer sites.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and provide technical solutions, working independently and coordinating with the wider team. A full UK driving licence is required and travel is national.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with field service or industrial maintenance background.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background.
• Experience fault-finding on industrial machinery and automated equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery advantageous.
• Experience with packaging machinery or similar industrial equipment beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on customer machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and control system faults.
• Install, commission and maintain packaging machinery at customer sites.
• Respond to breakdowns and provide effective technical solutions.
• Carry out inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
• Complete service reports and documentation and liaise with engineering teams.
