We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across targeted sectors. You will be responsible for expanding market presence, nurturing long-term customer relationships, and delivering sustainable sales growth. This strategic role requires market insight, technical knowledge, and a commercial focus.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and target new customer segments and business opportunities within key markets.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, research, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
  • Provide feedback to senior management on market conditions and customer insights.
  • Support pricing strategies, product positioning, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements efficiently.
  • Work with the Internal Sales team to achieve growth with all customers.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, construction products, metals, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the UK.
  • Technical background or understanding of perforated metal applications.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
