Vertiv is seeking a Pre‑Order MV SWGR Electrical Designer in the UK to collaborate with the EMEA Sales Team and product management for Medium Voltage Switchgear. The role involves initial electrical design, estimating, and preparing essential schematics supporting quotations.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, experience in supply chain and product engineering, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and Solid Works.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are necessary, with a focus on continuous improvement in a cross-functional team setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations.
• Ability to drive change and continuous improvement processes.
• Skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to interface with customers and sales at technical levels.
• Experience leading cross‑functional meetings.

Responsabilités

• Analyze customer design requirements and support the CDE Process.
• Provide design feedback to product management based on market trends.
• Prepare electrical schematics for the pre‑order quotation process.
• Collaborate with suppliers to understand performance characteristics.
• Support procurement with electrical component analysis.
