Job summary

Schneider Electric in Leeds is seeking an Application Design Engineer to design and apply 11kV Genie-EVO switchgear, ensuring compliance with customer specs and industry standards. You will collaborate with customers, deliver from concept to completion, and support hybrid delivery with on-site and remote work as needed.

The role calls for strong electrical design expertise, experience with AutoCAD/ePLAN, and knowledge of UK ENA standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in application or electrical design engineering.
Strong knowledge of switchgear and MV protection.
Familiarity with ENA standards and UK wiring practices.

Responsibilities

Lead design and develop application-specific solutions using 11kV Genie-EVO switchgear.
Create and manage 2D ePLAN drawings, including 3D layout elements.
Lead and participate in technical design meetings with customers.
Ensure all designs comply with ENA Wiring Standards and customer specifications.
Program and configuration protection relays.
Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned with procurement needs.
Generate and manage technical documentation, including design reports and relay configuration files.
Support hybrid project delivery, working both remotely and on-site as required.
Complete engineering drawings and wiring diagrams (core deliverables).
Full design package for Genie-EVO switchgear applications (core deliverables).
Verified ePLAN drawings (core deliverables).
Configured protection relay files and supporting documentation (core deliverables).
Accurate and complete BOMs (core deliverables).
Clear and concise technical interface documentation (core deliverables).
