Job summary

Sheffield Music Hub is recruiting nine additional salaried music tutors on term-time contracts to teach children and young people through instrumental and vocal lessons, whole-class sessions and ensemble direction.

Vacancies cover drums, piano/keys, rap and production, vocals, woodwind and guitar; duties include school-day lessons, some evenings, and contributing to inclusion and progression for young musicians.

• Experience as a musician or music educator.

Job description

Sheffield Music Hub, a Sheffield City Council service, is recruiting nine additional salaried music tutors on term-time contracts. The work is teaching children and young people through specialist lessons, whole-class sessions and ensemble direction. Vacancies cover drums, piano and keys, rap and production, vocals, woodwind and guitar, with 1 to 4 days a week agreed with the hub, mostly in school hours and some evening work. Successful candidates must complete pre-recruitment checks before starting in January or February.
