Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced 1:1 Music Tutor to coach a student in KS3/KS4, either online or in Whitburn, with pathways including RSL or BTEC/UAL qualifications. The role offers flexibility with hours to be agreed and pay up to £30 per hour (DOE).

You will tailor lessons to the student’s interests in performance, production, composition and music technology, tracking progress and guiding towards qualification routes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering 1:1 music lessons.
• Strong knowledge of music performance, production, composition or music technology.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS or have one in Update Service.
• Two years of verifiable references.

• Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 music lessons.
• Develop the student’s musical skills and confidence.
• Support performance, production and/or composition activities.
• Help the student work towards relevant qualification pathways.

Make a Difference as a 1:1 Music Tutor

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Music Teacher/Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to a student interested in developing their musical skills and potentially working towards a music qualification.

The student has an interest in music performance, production and practical music-making, with potential pathways including RSL Awards (Rockschool), Pearson BTEC and UAL.

Tuition can be delivered online or in person in Whitburn.

About the Role

You will provide engaging, personalised lessons based around the student's interests, abilities and learning goals. Sessions may include:

• Music performance and instrumental skills
• Music production and recording
• Composition and songwriting
• Music technology
• Supporting music projects, portfolios and coursework

The student is interested in qualifications including:

• Level 2 Certificate / Diploma for Music Practitioners - RSL Awards (Rockschool)
• Level 1/2 Tech Award in Music Practice - Pearson BTEC
• Level 2 Diploma in Music Performance and Production - UAL

Position Details

Pay: Up to £30 per hour (DOE)
