Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is recruiting for a Music Teacher at a thriving 11-18 secondary school with sixth form in the UK for a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start. The school champions ambition, creativity and personal development, with strong pastoral support and enrichment opportunities.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, prepare students for exams and performances, and may take on departmental leadership duties for the right person.

Duties as a Music Teacher:

• Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4

Ideal Music Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and practical musicianship
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Experience in curriculum leadership is desirable for candidates interested in the Head of Department opportunity
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Your salary - dependent on experience - is paid weekly through PAYE, meaning no umbrella or self-employed arrangements.
