Music Teacher - Milton Keynes
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Salary: MPS/UPS - Dependent on Experience
The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and well-planned Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available in some schools
- Teach a varied curriculum covering performance, composition, musical theory, listening, and analysis
- Encourage students to explore different musical styles, genres, and traditions
- Use music technology and digital resources to enhance creativity and learning
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level Music, where applicable
- Encourage participation in choirs, bands, ensembles, concerts, productions, and extracurricular clubs
- Support students in developing their confidence, creativity, technical ability, and musical understanding
- Contribute to school performances, concerts, and wider arts events
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves
Who We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from Music Teachers who:
- Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have strong subject knowledge across Music and a genuine passion for the subject
- Are confident teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of Music
- Can inspire students through engaging, creative, and practical lessons
- Have experience or an interest in using music technology and digital software
- Possess strong classroom management skills and maintain high expectations
- Are enthusiastic about contributing to extracurricular music and performing arts activities
- Work well as part of a collaborative department
- Are committed to supporting students of all abilities and backgrounds
