Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a Music Teacher for a full-time role in a thriving secondary school with a sixth form in England. Immediate start available and a potential leadership track for the right candidate.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning engaging lessons, preparing students for exams and performances, and contributing to the wider Performing Arts program. Salary depends on experience and is paid weekly through PAYE.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical musicianship.
• Leadership experience desirable for Head of Department opportunities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

Duties as a Music Teacher:

• Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, inspiring lessons
• Prepare students for examinations and performance opportunities where appropriate
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities
• Contribute to the wider Performing Arts provision
• Potentially undertake departmental leadership responsibilities for the right candidate

Ideal Music Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and practical musicianship
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Experience in curriculum leadership is desirable for candidates interested in the Head of Department opportunity
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
