Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a Lecturer in Music to join the Music Team. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across music units at levels 2 and 3, with support from the Curriculum Leader.

You will bring a UK Honours degree in Music and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, plus experience with Logic and studio environments to support HE progression.

The Role

You will support and work alongside the Music Team and Curriculum Leader in delivering a high standard of teaching, learning and assessment on a range of courses including music units at level 2 & 3.

What we are looking for

You must have a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC degree in a Music and a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification. You will also have sound knowledge and experience of using industry standard software for music sequencing, recording/production and post-production using Logic. In addition, you should have experience of working within a recording studio and/or rehearsal environment and strong technical knowledge of the music industry including context, theory and requirements for HE progression.
