Job summary

Straight-Line Group Services Ltd is seeking a hands-on Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills and experience in PLC and SCADA control systems. The role focuses on fault-finding, turning data from electrical drawings into practical fixes, and keeping production equipment running efficiently on site.

You'll work with production teams to minimise downtime while contributing to continuous improvement and reliability projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer.
Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills.
PRactical PLC fault-finding and SCADA experience.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
Fault-finding and working with PLC-controlled machinery.
Supporting and troubleshooting SCADA/control systems.
Identifying recurring faults and implementing preventative solutions.
Carrying out electrical testing, modifications and installations.
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
Contributing to continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely.
