Thames Water is hiring two Mechanical & Electrical Technicians for Farmoor WTW. Candidates will inspect, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant with supervision, ensuring site operability and safety. The role requires a true multi‑skilled capability and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship with strong electrical experience.
• Upskilled with mechanical qualification for inspection, maintenance and repair.
• Willingness to develop dual‑skilled status.
• Knowledge of health and safety issues.
• Full driving licence; vehicle and tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training for technical trainees.
• Work on pumps, motors, control gear, VSDs, valves and PLCs.
• Participate in standby rota after training.
