Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer/Technician with a combined electrical and mechanical background to support planned and reactive maintenance across site process equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on minimising downtime through proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and efficient use of the site maintenance management system. Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and experience in food, beverage, or FMCG sectors is essential.

Qualifications

Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent.
Experience in food, beverage, dairy or FMCG manufacturing.
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

Perform planned preventative maintenance on process equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site maintenance management system.
