Job summary

Premier foods operates a Worksop site seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to support manufacturing by providing electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring maximised equipment availability and optimal line performance in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform both reactive and preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and drive continuous improvement across the site to minimise downtime and raise reliability while safeguarding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Time-served engineering apprenticeship.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Efficiently fault find, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
• Support manufacturing operations to maximise equipment utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Carry out assigned and self-directed engineering tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and reliability.
• Support and optimise automated machinery, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI-controlled systems.
• Complete risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
