Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer/Technician with a combined electrical and mechanical background to support planned and reactive maintenance across site process equipment. The role aims to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include performing PPM, diagnosing faults across mechanical and electrical systems, and maintaining records using the CMMS. Experience in FMCG sectors is valued.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent.
• Experience in food, beverage, dairy or FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and preventative maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on process equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site maintenance management system.
