Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering and maintenance team. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations, and improvements across plant, equipment, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven multi‑skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial plant and machinery.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes and conveyors is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence where required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on plant, machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirements.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control‑system faults.
• Complete repairs and equipment adjustments to minimise downtime.
• Carry out installation, modification and commissioning of equipment and systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, repairs and inspections.
• Ensure machinery and equipment remain safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.
