About the Role

Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd is looking for a proactive and hands-on Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Haverfordwest. This is a varied role in a fast-paced dairy processing environment, supporting daily operations, commissioning activity and ongoing maintenance across a range of processing and filling equipment.

As part of the engineering team, you will help keep production running efficiently by carrying out reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance. You will diagnose faults, maintain mechanical and electrical components, support continuous improvement and work closely with production, engineering and specialist teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machinery and instrumentation, including pumps, motors, valves and agitators.
• Diagnose faults, test, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical components.
• Work with engineering and specialist teams to plan and complete maintenance activity.
• Record work accurately within the maintenance system.
• Prioritise workload and keep production teams informed of expected timescales.
• Identify and report machinery or component defects, including signs of potential failure.
• Liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support when required.
• Support continuous improvement activity and recommend solutions to lifecycle issues.
• Take part in supported training and development opportunities to broaden your experience.

About You

You will be a methodical, accurate and well-organised engineer with strong attention to detail and a flexible, hands-on approach. You will be confident working in a fast-paced environment, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong experience as a multi skilled engineer.
• Experience working in an FMCG environment.
• Understanding of pumps, valves, variable speed drives, PLCs, site services and CIP systems.
• Ability to diagnose, test, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical components.
• HNC in a mechanical or electrical discipline, or a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Good judgement, professionalism, integrity and strong interpersonal skills.
• A positive can-do attitude with the ambition and drive to deliver results.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in dairy processing or a similar processing environment.
• Computer literacy, including CMMS, SCADA, HMIs and Microsoft Office.
• Strong report writing skills.
