Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is representing a well-established food manufacturing business in Haverfordwest, Wales, seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain production equipment and drive uptime.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement within a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance engineer in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities across production equipment to maximise uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with food industry compliance standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, efficiency and reliability.
• Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain smooth operational performance.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with food industry compliance standards.
• Support continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, efficiency, and reliability.
• Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain smooth operational performance.

What You'll Bring:

• Previous maintenance engineering experience gained within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or a similar environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair capabilities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
• Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
