Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Oldham is seeking a Band 5 Estates Services Technician to join our proactive team. The role focuses on lead complex plumbing diagnoses, multi-skilled maintenance across Trust properties, and staff development through on-the-job training.

You will work across Royal Oldham Hospital and other sites, respond to reactive and planned works, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship with City & Guilds or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Knowledge of HTMs and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work on a multi-skilled estates service, primarily plumbing, with on-the-job training for apprentices.
• Collaborate with Estates Services team across sites in the South to maintain quality service.
• Respond to reactive and planned works to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and carry out complex plumbing repairs, reducing the need for external contractors.
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and instruct others accordingly.
• Provide technical advice to estates operatives and contractors to ensure safety compliance.
• Lead and coordinate small on-site works as assigned.
