Page Personnel is recruiting a Multiskilled Engineer and Engineering Team Leader for a highly automated FMCG production facility in Preston, England. You will lead an engineering team, oversee preventative maintenance, and drive improvements to minimise downtime.

The role requires both electrical and mechanical expertise, fault-finding across PLCs, sensors, motors, and conveyors, and flexibility to work rotating shifts. This is an exciting period of growth with strong investment in automation.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environment (food industry desirable).
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, and control systems.
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the engineering team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programmes to enhance equipment reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all engineering activities.
• Coordinate with production teams to address technical challenges and optimise processes.
• Manage budgets and resources to achieve engineering objectives effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
• Prepare and present reports on engineering performance and project progress.
