Job summary

E3recruitment seeks a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for a modern, high-performance site near Walbottle, Newcastle. The role offers a 54k base salary plus a 5% bonus and premium overtime, with a market-leading pension and private healthcare.

You will deliver plant-wide maintenance, implement PPM schedules, and locate faults in PLCs and electrical systems while pursuing continuous improvement in a world-class manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 / BTEC Level 3 with NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is required.
• Apprenticeship trained in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent multi-skill background.
• Strong background in planned and reactive electrical maintenance within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plant-wide proactive and reactive maintenance.
• Execute PPM schedules and respond to breakdowns.
• Fault-find and repair electrical systems including PLCs, motors, drives, and control panels.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

• Deliver plant-wide proactive and reactive maintenance to ensure optimum factory performance
• Execute PPM schedules and respond effectively to breakdowns as part of the maintenance team
• Fault-find and repair key electrical systems including PLCs, motors, drives, and control panels
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to support world-class manufacturing standards

What do you require to apply as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

• City & Guilds Level 3 / BTEC Level 3 (or higher) with NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical & Mechanical)
• Apprenticeship trained in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline, or experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer
• Strong background in planned and reactive electrical maintenance within manufacturing
