Job summary

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer position near Coalville, UK. Basic salary £57.6K with KPI bonus and overtime paid at x1.5 (rising to x2). OTE £65K+ annualised in a 5 on 5 off/4 on 4 off shift pattern, offering strong work–life balance and two consecutive weekends off each month.

The role includes guaranteed development through a focused training programme (PLC) and a company pension matched to 10%, plus generous holiday allowance.

Qualifications

• Electro-Mechanical and electrical/mechatronic expertise.
• Formal qualification to Level 3 (City and Guilds/BTEC/NVQ) or apprentice trained to Level 3.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance environments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-wide proactive and reactive maintenance to maximise factory performance.
• Execute PPM schedules and reactive maintenance as required.
• Maintain mechanical/electrical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, PLC fault finding) with Siemens PLC S7 training provided.

Are you a Multiskilled Engineer looking to join a leading manufacturer that can offer training and further career development? My client is looking to extend their engineering division with several Multiskilled Maintenance Engineers at their flagship site based near the area of Coalville.

The basic salary is £57.6K with a KPI bonus plus overtime is paid at a premium of x1.5, with current OT available, meaning OTE minimum earning of £65K+.

The shift pattern is 5 on 5 off, 5 on 5 off, 4 on 4 off (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00). This offers a fantastic work life balance, and guarantees 2 consecutive weekends off every month.

Roles and Responsibilities of an Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

• Responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive Maintenance activities to ensure the optimum performance of the factory.
• Carry out PPM schedules and Reactive Maintenance Activities as required.
• Carry out work upon all Mechanical and Electrical elements such as Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Motors, Invertors, Safety Circuits, and performing basic fault finding on PLC's etc. Extensive training will also be provided on Siemens PLC S7 TIA portal systems along with further upskilling opportunities.

To Be Successful as an Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

• You must hold the following Electro-Mechanical Mechatronics, Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3 AND BTEC Level 3 or higher with NVQ Level 3, OR be Apprentice trained to level 3.
• Strong planned and reactive maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment as an Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
