Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking aMultiskilled Bodyshop Technician to operate across Panel Beating and MET within a professional accident repair environment in Anerley, Greater London. You will repair, replace, and refit damaged panels and components while maintaining high workmanship standards.

The role offers a strong earning potential with a salary up to £65,000 DOE and a basic salary range of £35,000–£65,000 DOE. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, permanent, full-time.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• Strong practical experience across Panel Beating and MET.
• Qualification or accreditation (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out Panel Beating and body repair work, including repairing, replacing, and refitting damaged panels.
• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Carry out vehicle strip-downs and reassembly before and after repairs.
• Assess vehicle damage and identify Panel and MET repair requirements.
• Work closely with Paint Technicians and other workshop colleagues.
• Perform functional and quality checks to ensure repairs meet standards.

THE ROLE

As a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician - Panel & MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim), you'll work across vehicle body repair and Mechanical, Electrical & Trim operations, helping to complete accident repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out Panel Beating and body repair work, including repairing, replacing, and refitting damaged panels.
• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components as part of the repair process.
• Carrying out vehicle strip-downs and reassembly before and after structural and body repairs.
• Assessing vehicle damage and identifying appropriate Panel and MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) repair requirements.
• Working closely with Paint Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and other workshop colleagues.
• Carrying out functional and quality checks to ensure completed repairs meet required standards.
• Managing allocated repairs effectively while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and the workshop area in a clean, safe, and professional condition.

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician / Panel Beater / Panel Technician / MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Strip & Fit Technician who is confident working across Panel and MET.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• Hold a recognised qualification or accreditation (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent).
• Strong practical experience across Panel Beating and MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim).
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle body repair, mechanical, electrical, and trim systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a skilled workshop team.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
