Job summary

Autoskills-Uk in West Hampstead is seeking an experienced MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) to join a professional Bodyshop. The role offers strong earning potential with an OTE of £60,000+ and a basic salary of £45,000–£50,000+ DOE.

Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, 45-hour week with no weekend work. You will remove, repair and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components, diagnose issues, and work closely with panel beaters, painters and estimators to restore vehicles to a high

Qualifications

• Experienced MET Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge.
• Experience with vehicle strip-down and refit procedures.
• Good understanding of modern repair methods and systems.
• Panel Beating experience is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim strip and refit work on accident-damaged vehicles.
• Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for body and paint repairs.
• Diagnosing issues with mechanical and electrical systems following vehicle damage.
• Reassembling vehicles correctly following structural and body repairs.
• Carrying out functional checks to ensure components and systems operate correctly.
• Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, Estimators, and other workshop colleagues.
• Ensuring repairs are completed safely and to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician / Vehicle Strip & Fit Technician / Vehicle Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim knowledge.
• Experience with vehicle strip-down and refit procedures.
• Good understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and systems.
• Ability to carry out Panel Beating would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled workshop team.
• A full UK driving licence.
