Job summary

Clear Automotive is seeking a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician in Thurrock to perform light to medium repairs, including panel work, paint prep and MET strip fit. The role starts early, with a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, in a well-established company offering stability and progression.

You will carry out filler work, dent pulling, and prep/ polish after painting, adhering to manufacturer literature and repair bulletins for chassis and body work as required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of vehicle panel repairs and paint prep.
• Experience with light MET/strip fit operations preferred.
• Understanding of safety and manufactuer guidance in repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out light to medium vehicle repairs including panel work, prep and MET.
• Apply filler to damaged panels and perform dent pulling.
• Prep and polish after painting and follow repair manuals.

Up to £55,000 OTE £63,000

• Multiskilled Paint Prep, Light Panel and Light Strip and fit position
• Multi-skilled position requiring paint prep, light panel and light MET (Strip fit) expertise
• Monday-Friday position with a large, well-established organisation offering stability and progression
• Start as early as 6.30am - 45 hours per week - Monday to Friday only

Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician / Panel beater / Prepper / MET Technician - We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced multiskilled bodyshop technician who is able to carry out Vehicle prepper and panel (filler and dent pulling ) duties, as well as MET strip fit on bumpers, bonnets and trim.

The Job: Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician

• Carry out light to medium vehicle repairs including panel work, prepping and MET
• Applying filler to the damaged panel area
• Dent pulling using a miracle pull system
• Prepping and polishing after painting
• Adhere to the manufacturer's literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and to the replacement of chassis and panel work.

Job Experience - Multiskilled Bodyshop technician - Light Repairs

• A working and demonstrable knowledge of vehicle panel repairs, paint prep and LIGHT MET work
• Relevant panel qualifications - IMI 3, NVQ 3 or ATA Panel Beater or Paint Sprayer
• Accreditation desirable but not essential
• Bodyshop experience is essential
