Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician in Oldham, Greater Manchester, to work as a dual-skilled Panel Beater and MET Technician.

You will repair vehicles to manufacturer standards using modern equipment in a state-of-the-art bodyshop, handling geometry checks, mechanical work and suspension tasks.

A recognised apprenticeship and proven experience in a busy bodyshop are essential; there is a 40k base salary plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Panel Beating and/or MET.
• Proven experience in a busy Bodyshop as Panel Beater and MET Technician.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair techniques and modern body repair methods.
• Competent with geometry equipment, mechanical inspection and suspension repairs.
• Proactive team player with motivation to earn bonus hours.
• High standards with up-to-date industry best practice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality panel repairs, reshaping, welding, filling and structural work to standards.
• Perform MET duties including strip & refit, mechanical repairs, suspension work, and geometry/diagnostic checks.
• Work efficiently to maximise productivity and bonus opportunities.
• Follow correct repair methods and ensure results meet factory specs.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
• Utilise modern tools and techniques in a state-of-the-art Bodyshop.

Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician - Dual skilled in Panel Beating & Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (MET)

Basic Salary: £40,000 + Overtime available

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Flexi Start - 40 hours per week)

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dual-skilled Panel Beater & MET Technician to join a leading accident repair team at a state-of-the-art Bodyshop facility. We are seeking a talented professional who is comfortable in all aspects of panel beating and experienced in mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) duties, including geometry checks, mechanical work and suspension-related tasks. You'll be repairing and reinstating damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards using modern equipment, advanced repair methods, and working within a fast-paced, professional repair centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Proven experience working in a busy Bodyshop environment as both a Panel Beater and MET Technician / Strip Fitter.
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair techniques, including modern body repair methods and mechanical procedures.
• Competent with geometry equipment, mechanical inspection, and suspension-related repair tasks.
• A proactive team player with the motivation to earn bonus hours.
• Able to produce work to the highest standard with an up-to-date knowledge of industry best practice.
