Job summary

The Blandford Group Practice in Blandford Forum is recruiting a Patient Services Assistant to join a friendly team. The role covers three sites, requires driving and access to a car, and includes handling inquiries by phone, email and online requests.

A tailored training program is provided for those without health sector background. Key duties include recording patient information, managing appointments, and delivering a positive, professional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or reception environments.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Take telephone and online requests from patients and record information accurately.
• Provide information and escalate as needed, ensuring messages are documented.
• Maintain appointment systems and book patients and visitors.
• Support the Practice team and present a friendly, professional image.
• Welcome and assist patients, signpost to appropriate services or staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data per policy.
• Handle reception duties across three sites and cover front desk tasks.
