Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day running of a suburban GP practice serving around 18,000 patients. You will work with the management team and a multidisciplinary workforce to coordinate systems, IT access, contractors, and compliance, and report on performance and risks across both sites.

Ideal candidates will have GP practice or NHS experience, be highly organized, and capable of handling confidential information while communicating

Qualifications

• Experience in GP practice, NHS or healthcare setting.
• Able to coordinate across multiple sites and manage conflicting priorities.
• Excellent organizational and data reporting skills.
• Comfortable handling confidential information.
• Strong communication with clinical and non-clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations across both practice sites.
• Act as key operational contact for staff and direct queries.
• Track outstanding operational tasks through to completion.
• Coordinate arrangements with external providers, suppliers and contractors.
• Report to management on operations, risks and actions.
• Coordinate IT access and onboarding/offboarding of staff and students.
• Administer NHS Smartcards and NHSmail accounts.
• First point of contact for routine IT queries, escalating complex problems.
• Coordinate premises maintenance and health and safety checks.
• Maintain the compliance schedule and track deadlines for checks, servicing and reviews.
• Produce telephone activity, appointment utilisation and other operational reports.
