Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a part-time Team Leader to run the ITQA team for a two-site GP practice serving about 20,500 patients. You will manage IT support, clinical system admin, data quality and QoF reporting, combining supervision with operational planning.

NHS or care experience is required; familiarity with SystmOne or EMIS is advantageous. The role emphasizes staff training and governance within a busy primary care setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
• Willingness to undertake management, IT or other training as needed.
• Experience of working in an NHS or care environment.
• Experience of working with IT systems and analysing or using data.
• Experience of using information in reports for financial claims and decision making.
• Experience of auditing information and data.
• Experience of working in or with teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ITQA team, managing, supporting and training members and running team meetings and appraisals.
• Ensure weekly, monthly and annual tasks are diarised and completed, and attend operations and planning meetings.
• Review ITQA workload, processes and audits, and write and update procedures.
• Monitor QoF data and collaborate with the QoF lead to meet annual targets.
• Administer practice software including SystmOne, troubleshoot faults and liaise with external IT helpdesk.
• Set up and maintain staff user accounts, smartcards and access controls, and train staff in IT use.
• Act as first point of contact with clinical and system supplier helpdesks, and oversee IT security and validation.
• Maintain the practice network, email and online patient access, and report significant IT events.
• Manage data quality, monitor registrations and demographics, and keep templates up to date.
• Run routine audits, recalls, contract searches and reports, input monthly CQRS data and manage NHS recall portals.
• Collate monthly PPAS scripts and monitor enhanced services, submitting data for payments.
