Job summary

Röhlig Logistics in Solihull (Birmingham) is seeking an experienced Multimodal Import Operations Clerk to join our busy team, bringing expert knowledge of ocean and air import procedures and a solid freight forwarding background.

You will manage end-to-end import processes, including customs entries, deliver outstanding service to all stakeholders, and help grow the existing client base; five years in import forwarding and CargoWise1 proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in end-to-end ocean and air import freight forwarding.
• IT proficiency, CargoWise1 certification preferred.
• GCSE Maths and English.
• Strong knowledge of air and ocean import procedures.
• Excellent communication and complaint resolution skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality, on‑time work.
• Conscientious, punctual, and able to follow leadership direction.

For our branch in Solihull (Birmingham), we are currently looking for an experienced and highly competent Multimodal Import Operations Clerk to join this busy and successful team, with expert knowledge in ocean and air import procedures and a solid freight forwarding work history.

What you will do:

• Effectively manage all procedures involved with ocean and air imports
• Customs entries – extensive experience and knowledge required
• Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders

What you bring:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a start‑to‑finish ocean and air import freight forwarding role
• IT proficiecy, ideally CargoWise1 Certified Operator/Specialist
• Educated to a minimum GCSE standard including Maths and English
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of air and ocean import procedures
• Excellent communication and complaint resolution skills
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality, on‑time work
• Great work ethic, conscientious, punctual, able to follow direction from business leaders
