Qualifications

• Multimodal freight forwarding experience, export bias preferred.
• Previous management experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong hands-on operational knowledge.
• Experience managing profit and loss.
• Confident handling RFQs and tender submissions.
• Proven customer relationships and key account management.
• Strong supplier negotiation skills.
• Ability to develop a team and lead by example.
• Calm, commercially minded with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across air, road and ocean freight.
• Motivate, mentor and appraise the operations team.
• Take responsibility for departmental profit and loss.
• Prepare RFQs, quotations and tender submissions.
• Develop key customer accounts and growth opportunities.
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive rates and service.
• Attend customer and supplier meetings.
• Resolve operational issues and maintain service standards.
• Identify process, productivity and profitability improvements.
