Job summary

Lori Walsh Recruitment in Basildon is seeking an Export Coordinator to manage export and cross-trades for air, sea and road freight from start to finish. You'll confirm bookings, raise files, obtain quotations and liaise with lines and 3PL to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires 1–3 years' experience in freight forwarding, strong export process knowledge, and compliance with international shipping standards; office-based hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding and cross trade exports preferred.
• Knowledge of export procedures and international shipping standards.

Responsibilities

• Confirm bookings from clients by email or telephone.
• Create and raise files in the operational system and booking with shipping lines.
• Obtain best quotations and confirm selling rates to clients as required.
• Coordinate multi-modal export shipments (air, sea, road) for on-time delivery.
• Liaise with 3PL providers, carriers, customs and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Produce export paperwork and pre-alerts for agents worldwide; check Bills of Lading.
• Invoice exports and cross-trade shipments; file and manage records.
