Baxter Freight Ltd is looking for a Customs Specialist to keep freight moving smoothly, ensuring first time-right clearances and accurate documentation. You’ll handle out-of-hours shifts, manage imports/exports, and liaise with brokers to avoid border delays while maintaining audit-ready records in line with AEO best practice.

The role supports a hybrid working pattern due to rota requirements and involves coordinating road, air, sea movements for key accounts with a focus on timeliness and

Formación

• Solid knowledge of UK customs processes, multimodal operations.
• Hands-on with Descartes, CDS, Destin8 or Conex.
• Experience in fast-paced logistics or freight environments.
• Flexible to rotate 4 on/4 off, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Run the trailer plan for a key account and coordinate departures.
• Track milestones and update customers to avoid delays.
• Create and submit Descartes/Conex/CDS entries accurately.
• Prepare invoices, packing lists, origin statements and licences.
• Work with brokers and carriers; confirm DDP duty/VAT.
• Maintain audit-ready records and comply with AEO practices.
