Job summary

Wates Group is seeking an experienced Multi Trader to join our responsive maintenance team in and around Swadlincote, working on social housing properties. This is a customer-facing role where delivering quality, care, and doing things right first time matters.

You’ll handle a range of responsive repairs across occupied homes, ensuring works are carried out safely and to high standards, with a strong focus on residents’ satisfaction and adhering to SLAs.

Qualifications

• Proven trade background (multi-skilled).
• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade (or equivalent).
• Experience in social housing responsive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach in residents' homes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties.
• Diagnose and resolve day‑to‑day repair issues in residents’ homes.
• Work professionally in residents’ homes with a strong customer focus.
• Complete work to agreed SLAs and company standards.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of responsive repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing homes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

• General multi‑trade repairs (carpentry, minor plumbing, patch plastering, basic tiling, etc.)

• Accurately updating job records using a mobile device

Essential Requirements
