Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited seeks an experienced Multi Trader to join a busy social housing maintenance team working across SW London. The role is temp-to-perm, initially for about 3 months, with a permanent position possible thereafter.

You will perform responsive repairs in occupied properties, including carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering, tiling and general maintenance across Tolworth, Chessington, New Malden, Surbiton and Kingston Vale, with a local patch to minimise travel time.

Role: Multi trader

Job type: Temp - perm

Pay: £25ph + van and fuel card

We are currently looking for an experienced Multi Trader to join a busy property maintenance team working across SW London.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, initially working on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position thereafter.

Working within social housing, you will be carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance works to occupied properties across Tolworth, Chessington, New Malden, Surbiton, Kingston Vale.

One of the biggest benefits of this role is the local patch. Jobs are generally no more than 30 minutes apart, meaning less time driving between jobs and more time spent doing what you do best. This is ideal for someone who wants to work locally without spending their whole day travelling across London.

The Role

As a Multi Trader, you will be responsible for completing a variety of repairs and maintenance works, ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard and within the required timescales.

Duties will include:

• Carrying out general property repairs and maintenance
• Carpentry and joinery repairs
• Basic plumbing and patch plastering
• Tiling and other general maintenance works
• Completing repairs within occupied social housing properties
• Diagnosing issues and carrying out remedial works
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Providing a professional and friendly service to residents

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a Multi Trader / Multi Skilled Operative within property maintenance, ideally within social housing.

You should have:

• Experience carrying out a range of property maintenance repairs
• Good practical knowledge across multiple trades
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• A full UK driving licence
