Job summary

Trevett Project Services is seeking a reliable Multi Trader to join the Maintenance Team on a housing contract covering approximately 8,000 properties in and around Thamesmead, South East London. You'll apply carpentry expertise while supporting wider multi-trade tasks (tiling, plastering, decorating) to deliver high-quality, first-time repairs with a resident-focused approach and clear communication.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Carpentry, a full UK driving licence,

The Role

A skilled Carpenter/Multi Trader to join the Maintenance Team working on a Housing Contract covering approximately 8,000 properties in and around the surrounding areas of Thamesmead.

You'll lead with carpentry expertise but also support wider multi-trade tasks to ensure high-quality, well-rounded repairs. You'll deliver a reliable, resident-focused service with a focus on first-time fixes and professional standards.

What You'll Do

• Full range of Carpentry ( eg kitchen units new and replacements, internal and external doors, boxing in)
• Basic plumbing
• Tiling
• Patch plastering and making good
• Painting and decorating
• Support multi-trade repairs including:
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Patch plastering and making good
  • Painting and decorating to a professional standard
• Record work accurately in real time.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners and admin teams to keep delivery smooth and efficient.
• Complete risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures on every job.
• Support apprentices and uphold high standard of customer service.

You're a reliable, adaptable tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality work across multiple trades. You communicate clearly with residents, work well as part of a team, and help us maintain safe, warm, well-presented homes across the portfolio.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or3 or City & Guilds in Carpentry (or equivalent)
• Fire door installation and sign off ( preferred not essential)
• Experience across multiple trades (tiling, carpentry, plastering, decorating)
• Full UK driving licence and well-maintained tool kit
• Knowledge of social housing repairs & maintenance
• Strong Health & Safety awareness and attention to detail
