Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group in Bedfordshire is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to operate across occupied social housing properties on a permanent basis. You will perform a range of planned and reactive maintenance with a focus on quality workmanship and strong customer service.

The role requires carpentry, plumbing, decorating, and basic brickwork, plus a full UK driving licence. A van and fuel card are provided; 28 days’ holiday and a company pension support long-term career

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing maintenance or similar.
• Competent across carpentry, plumbing, decorating and basic brickwork.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry repairs both 1st and 2nd fix.
• Carry out basic plumbing repairs.
• Undertake painting and decorating works.
• Patch plastering.
• Basic tiling.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues while providing excellent customer service.
• Complete relevant job documentation accurately.
