Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Plasterer to join our team in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. You will deliver high-quality plastering, rendering, and associated wet trades across social housing properties, including occupied homes.

The role involves completing repairs, tiling, basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating, with focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. A full UK driving licence is required, and you may work on call-out rotas as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plasterer within social housing, maintenance, or domestic property repairs.
• Strong skills in plastering, rendering, skimming, and general wet trade works.
• Experience carrying out multi-trade repairs including tiling, basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wet trade works including plastering, rendering, screeding, skimming, patch repairs, and making good following maintenance works.
• Complete a range of multi-trade repairs, including tiling, basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.
• Accurately record completed work and job updates in real time using a mobile app.
• Work closely with supervisors, planners, and administration teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Complete risk assessments and adhere to all health and safety regulations on every job.
• Support apprentices and maintain the company's high standards of workmanship and customer care.
• Work across occupied social housing properties and participate in out-of-hours and emergency call-out rotas when required.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Plasterer to join our growing team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across a social housing portfolio in Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

What You'll Do

• Carry out wet trade works including plastering, rendering, screeding, skimming, patch repairs, and making good following maintenance works.
• Complete a range of multi-trade repairs, including:
  • Wall and floor tiling
  • Basic plumbing repairs
  • 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Painting and decorating to a professional standard
  • Prepare surfaces and complete all finishing works to a high standard.
• Accurately record completed work and job updates in real time using a mobile app.
• Work closely with supervisors, planners, and administration teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Complete risk assessments and adhere to all health and safety regulations on every job.
• Support apprentices and maintain the company's high standards of workmanship and customer care.
• Work across occupied social housing properties and participate in out-of-hours and emergency call-out rotas when required.
