An established maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Wet Trade Multi-Skilled Operative to join its team delivering repairs and maintenance to residential properties across Essex.
This is a varied role suited to someone with a strong background in plastering who is also confident carrying out a range of additional trade tasks. Working in occupied homes, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service.
Complete plastering works including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, screeding and general making good.
Undertake a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including:
Basic carpentry
Minor plumbing repairs
Wall and floor tiling
Internal painting and decorating
Carry out repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Update job information electronically using a handheld device.
Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales and in line with company standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Liaise professionally with residents and colleagues to ensure a positive customer experience.
Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Provide support to less experienced team members where required.
Take part in an emergency or out-of-hours rota when necessary.
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plastering or a relevant construction trade.
Strong practical experience in plastering, rendering, screeding and associated wet trades.
Competent in carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks across different trades.
Previous experience working within residential repairs, maintenance or social housing is desirable.
Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation.
Full UK driving licence.
Own hand tools suitable for day-to-day maintenance work.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
