Location: Various sites (field-based)
Pay Rate: £20 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Eastleigh
Company vehicle and tools provided

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Operative to deliver a high standard of repairs and maintenance services to residential properties and communal areas. You will be responsible for completing a wide range of trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and general maintenance.

Customer satisfaction is at the heart of this role, and you will be expected to maintain professional standards, comply with safety regulations, and represent our values in every job you complete.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out carpentry, plumbing, and masonry repairs to a high standard across internal and external areas of residential properties.
  • Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers and colleagues to provide updates and resolve issues effectively.
  • Deliver work efficiently, achieving first-time fixes whenever possible.
  • Accurately record work progress, materials used, and timesheets using a tablet or smartphone.
  • Maintain vehicle stock and tools, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of work.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
  • Support other trades when required to ensure excellent customer service delivery.
  • Follow safe working practices and use appropriate PPE and risk assessments.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety checks, reporting defects where necessary.
  • Undertake additional training as required to develop multi-trade skills.
Requirements
  • Competency in carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Maintenance Operations (or equivalent qualification), or time-served experience.
  • Experience in delivering maintenance work to tight deadlines across multiple properties.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use mobile technology for job logging and updates.
