Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative with a primary focus on carpentry to join our Voids team in Banbury. You will be responsible for general repairs to empty properties across the area, working both in teams and alone, with vehicle use requiring a full UK licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry or electrical) and relevant certs.
• Experience in meeting deadlines and prioritising workloads.
• Skills in plumbing, plastering, carpentry & joinery, kitchen/bathroom installations, UPVC fittings.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs to void properties across Banbury and surrounding areas.
• Attend properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties.
• Maintain van stock and restock as needed.
• Provide accurate progress updates to customers.

Responsibilities

• Attending properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
• Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer, We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working.

A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity. We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative with a primary trade in carpentry to join our Voids team, based in Banbury. In this role you will be responsible for carrying out general repairs to empty properties across Banbury and the surrounding areas. The role will include both team and lone working. We are looking for a team player with experience in a previous trade role.,

Requirements and duties

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Experience in working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Skills in some of the following disciplines - Plumbing, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

£37,358 - £39,324 per year
