Job summary

Timberwise is seeking a Property Care Technician to carry out property preservation and repair works in the South West, with travel within the Plymouth region. Monday to Friday hours, company van and tools supplied, and full training provided to the right candidate.

You will work on damp and timber treatments, waterproofing installations, and plastering tasks, delivering high standards for customers and upholding Timberwise values.

Qualifications

• Proven skills in plastering and/or joinery.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to plan and manage workload.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid CSCS card.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Preservation industry experience is desirable but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct damp and timber treatments including dry rot, woodworm, and damp proofing.
• Carry out waterproofing installations and related joinery work.
• Complete general plastering tasks as required.
• Ensure works are completed to high standards, safely and efficiently.
• Represent Timberwise professionally and maintain excellent customer service.

The Role

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our team of Property Care Technicians across the UK. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of property preservation and repair works in the South West area, with travel required within the Plymouth region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct damp and timber treatments including dry rot, woodworm, and damp proofing.
• Carry out waterproofing installations and associated first and second fix joinery work.
• Complete general plastering tasks as required.
• Ensure all works are completed to the highest standard, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent customer service and represent the Timberwise brand professionally on every project.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone in the South West who has:

• Proven skills in plastering and/or joinery.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to plan and manage their own workload.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid CSCS card.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in the preservation industry is desirable but full training will be provided.

Working Hours and Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (with occasional out-of-hours or weekend work paid as overtime)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and skill level
