Job summary

Timberwise is a family-run specialist construction business delivering property preservation services across the UK. We are expanding our team with Property Care Technicians to cover Bedfordshire, requiring travel and hands-on treatment work.

You will carry out damp and timber treatments, waterproofing, plastering tasks, and maintain high standards of workmanship while representing the Timberwise brand on site. Full training provided and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven plastering and/or joinery skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to plan/workload.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• CSCS card required.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Preservation industry experience desirable but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct damp and timber treatments including dry rot, woodworm, and damp proofing.
• Carry out waterproofing installations and associated first and second fix joinery work.
• Complete general plastering tasks as required.
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent customer service and represent the Timberwise brand on every project.

The Role

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our team of Property Care Technicians across the UK. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of property preservation and repair works, with travel required throughout the Bedfordshire area.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct damp and timber treatments including dry rot, woodworm, and damp proofing.
• Carry out waterproofing installations and associated first and second fix joinery work.
• Complete general plastering tasks as required.
• Ensure all works are completed to the highest standard, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent customer service and represent the Timberwise brand professionally on every project.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Proven skills in plastering and/or joinery.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to plan and manage their own workload.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid CSCS card.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in the preservation industry is desirable but full training will be provided.

Working Hours and Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (with occasional out-of-hours or weekend work paid as overtime)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and skill level

• Competitive salary with monthly bonus scheme and overtime available. OTE £45k - £50k (Basic is £35k) Dependent on experience
