Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain production equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The role supports continuous improvement using autonomous and progressive maintenance approaches on a 4-on/4-off, 12-hour shift pattern.

You will contribute to safety, quality and cost targets while collaborating with a fast-paced operations team across a consumer food production environment.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair of production equipment, preferably within a food production environment.
• Multi trades - mechanical and electrical.
• Sound understanding of safety and quality standards for operating & maintaining machines.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Time served with a relevant qualification (HNC etc).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production equipment to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale targets.
• Use autonomous maintenance (AM) and progressive maintenance (PM) standards to optimise equipment.
• Ensure safety processes are observed and QA activities performed.
• Understand losses in the production area and work with the team to eradicate and maximise performance.

You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. You will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. Key to the site improvement journey, using integrated lean six sigma methodology, you will use your technical expertise to optimise your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards. Ensuring that safety processes and practices are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed, you will understand the losses in your production area and work with the wider team to eradicate and maximise performance.

Work schedule: This role operates on a shift pattern as follows; 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts, 2 days (7am to 7pm) and 2 nights (7pm to 7am).
