Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Gravesend is seeking an experienced Panel Beater / Stripper Fitter / MET Technician to join a professional accident repair centre. You will strip damaged vehicles, refit components, and ensure repairs meet high standards.

The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, full-time and permanent, with salary negotiable depending on experience. You will work with an experienced team to deliver quality workmanship and maintain a clean, safe workshop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Stripper Fitter, MET Technician, Panel Beater or similar bodyshop role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle stripping and refitting.
• Experience working within an accident repair or bodyshop environment.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• A team player with a positive and professional attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair.
• Removing and refitting body panels, trims, bumpers, lights and other components.
• Carrying out MET-related work where required.
• Reassembling vehicles following body and paint repairs.
• Ensuring all components are correctly fitted and functioning.
• Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians.
• Following repair methods and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Carrying out quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

The Role
